Oven Baked Beef Taquitos

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

Cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until fully browned.

Drain any excess grease and allow the beef to cool slightly.

Lay one tortilla flat on a clean surface.

Sprinkle a layer of shredded cheese down the center.

Add a spoonful of the cooked beef over the cheese.

Roll the tortilla tightly and place it seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.

Repeat with the remaining tortillas.

Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, or until the tortillas become crisp and golden brown.

Serve immediately while the cheese is hot and melted.

Why Baking Works So Well

Baking gives the tortillas a wonderfully crisp texture without the extra oil or mess of deep frying. It also allows you to prepare an entire batch at once, making this recipe ideal for feeding a crowd.

Once your taquitos are baked to perfection, the right dipping sauces and a few simple variations can make them even more irresistible.
